Ross and Jess had the absolute pleasure of photographing Nicole and Evans’ city-themed engagement session in downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

We are SO excited to have this power couple on the blog! Nicole is a woman of beauty and grace. Smart and fashionable, but also down-to-earth and kind. She is the kind of person you feel like you’ve known forever. Evans has a quiet strength, and is also incredibly intelligent and stylish. He is the perfect match for Nicole. Seeing the way they love each other just takes our breath away. Their session in downtown Norfolk was probably the most magical session we have ever photographed. As they were dancing in the streets, a local man named Mark began to serenade them with a beautiful love song. Then, out of no where, a police officer announced over his loud speaker to Evans, “Aren’t you going to kiss her?” Right there in the middle of a busy intersection, Evans dipped his future bride and gave her a loving kiss.

From there we walked to the new Marketplace at Norfolk’s Waterside District, where they became the focus of everyone’s attention. Nicole resembled a Greek goddess in her long, flowing white dress with open sides, and Evans looked quite dashing in his white suit jacket and black dress pants. Passersby were congratulating them every step of the way. We continued into the night with some dramatic portraits in front of the USS Wisconsin. These are, perhaps, some of our favorite images of the session! There is just something about a silhouette that is absolutely stunning.

We can not wait for their August wedding at The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk with the lovely Sandra Baxter of Baxter’s Creative Events. It is going to be out of this world!
